FCS softball fish fry The Friendship Christian softball team will host the Lady Commander Fish Fry Saturday, Sept. 8 between the hours of 4-7 p.m. in the FCS cafeteria. Tickets for the meal are $10 per person with children five and under admitted free. FCS players will be selling tickets with tickets also available at the school office or at the door the night of the event. All proceeds will benefit Friendship Christian softball.
Four-man scramble Hunters Point Golf Course will hold a Four-Man Scramble (Bring Your Own Team) Saturday and Sunday, Sept 15 and 16. Entry fee is $300 per team and includes green fees, practice round and cash prizes. Carts are not included. The field is limited to the first 36 teams to register. Blue Devil Pride Wall A Blue Devil Pride Wall will be the focal point of locker room adjacent to Tribble Field / Watkins Stadium and all former players and coaches are welcome to secure a permanent spot. Hunter ed classes set The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will hold Hunter Education classes at the Wilson Emergency Management Agency’s Oak Street training center Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14 and 15. Friday classes will be held 6-9:30 p.m.; Saturday class will begin at 8 a.m. and will run until completition. Class size is limited to the first 50 pre-registered students.
