Miller earns MSC honor again PDF Print E-mail

LEBANON -– Cumberland’s Lemeco Miller was voted the Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after posting 175 yards rushing and five touchdowns along with 226 all-purpose yards in a 42-21 victory over Union College Saturday at Nokes - Lasater Field.

The senior set career-highs in rushing yards and touchdowns, scoring three times in the fourth quarter and helping the Bulldogs break a 21-all tie entering the final period. Miller garnered the MSC honor for the second straight week.

The Huntsville, Ala., native finished with touchdown runs of three, six, seven, seven and 20 yards and he posted his fifth 100-yard game of the season and sixth of his career.

Miller leads the Mid-South in rushing yards per game (121), total rushing yards (726) and rushing touchdowns (13). He also leads the NAIA in total touchdowns (14) and is fourth in rushing yards this season.

Cumberland heads to Faulkner University this weekend for a division contest at 1:30 p.m. at John Mark Stallings Field on the Faulkner campus.
