MURFREESBORO -- After having been pushed to five games for one of the few times this season, Friendship Christian’s volleyball has reached the finals of the TSSAA Class 1A tournament. The defending champion Lady Commanders will play either Knox Grace or Boyd-Buchanan in a 2 p.m. match Friday at MTSU's Murphy Center for the title Now 56-4 overall, FCS knocked off Chattanooga Boyd-Buchanan 3-2 in the finals of the winners’ bracket Thursday afternoon at Blackman High. Game scores: 22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 18-25 and 15-11. Senior outside hitter Katilyn Teeter paced the Lady Commanders with 23 kills, 27 digs, two blocks and three aces. Ali Burroughs added 16 digs, eight kills and four aces while Alex Sealy was in on 10 kills and four blocks. Sarah Hall handed out 41 assists in the five game match.
