PLAYOFF PAIRINGS REVEALED TODAY
Friendship Christian and Watertown closed out the 2012 regular season with wins Friday night and will find out their respective postseason assignments later today.

The TSSAA will post the playoff pairings online at www.tssaa.org.

The Commanders had an easy time defeating Monterey 43-16 at Pirtle Field -- jumping out to a 28-0 first quarter lead.

Quarterback A.J. Long threw a pair of touchdown passes and Steven Hollis carried five times for 77 yards and a touchdown. The Commanders added a pair of defensive TD's as Hunter Watts carried back an interception return 50 yards for a score and Gage Bentley returned a fumble 46 yards to paydirt.

FCS improved 9-1 overall (7-1 in Region 4A) while Monterey slid to 5-5, 4-4.

Watertown 32, Jackson County 25
WATERTOWN -- Things got too close for comfort in the fourth quarter, but Watertown broke a three-game losing streak with a 32-25 win over Jackson County Friday at Robinson Stadium.

The Purple Tigers were nursing a 32-12 lead, then let the Blue Devils back in the game by allowing a couple of late scores.

Watertown improved to 7-3 overall with the victory.

FRA 49, MJ Christian 7
NASHVILLE -- Mt. Juliet Christian closed out the 2012 season with a 49-7 loss at Franklin Road Academy Friday night.

The loss dropped the Saints to 2-8 under first year head coach Jake Roberts.
