Mt. Juliet Christian Academy’s basketball teams dropped a pair of losses Monday night at home as St. Cecilia defeated the Lady Saints 52-48, followed by a Merrol Hyde win over the MJCA boys 59-52 in the nightcap.

Lynnze Ethridge had 19 for the MJCA girls in their loss while Zach Jones had 20 for the Saints. The MJCA squads dropped to 1-2 following Monday’s losses. Mt. Juliet Christian returns to action Monday, Nov. 26 at Trousdale County.

Watertown sweeps on Saturday
CHATTANOOGA -- Watertown High's basketball teams went on the road Saturday and came away with a pair of wins against Chattanooga Arts & Sciences in a TSSAA Hall of Champions twinbill.

The Tigerettes (now 2-0) won 58-50 in the first game of the doubleheader as Jasmine High finished with 11 points and Katie Dalton added 10.

The Purple Tigers improved to 2-0 with a 68-51 victory in Saturday's second game. Ethan Moss led the way with 21 points, including six three-pointers. Ty Jobe had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds while Macieo Gaines chipped in with 11 and Dylan Speck added 10.

Watertown's boys are slated to play Friday and Saturday in the Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial Thanksgiving Classic at Lebanon High. on Friday, WHS battles Smith County friday at 2:30 p.m., followed by a 5:30 p.m. game Saturday vs. Moore County.

The girls and boys will be back in action Tuesday, Nov. 27 as Hendersonville Christian comes to Watertown for a 6 p.m. twinbill.
