SHELBYVILLE -- Lebanon High's basketball teams went on the road Tuesday night and pulled out a doubleheader sweep at Shelbyville Central High. The Devilettes (4-3) hit 10-of-13 from the free throw line (including 7-of-10 down the stretch) and held on for a 47-42 victory over Shelbyville Central. The Golden Eaglettes (1-6) struggled at the charity striple, connecting on just 11-of 26 attempts. After jumping out to a 6-0 lead, Shelbyville hit a dry spell and was outscored 13-4 to trail 13-10 at the end of the first quarter. Lebanon drilled thee 3-pointers in the second period to help increase the lead to 24-14 at halftime. Abby Wright's 11 points paced Lebanon with Julia Fox adding nine. DEVILS PLACE 3 IN DOUBLE FIGURES Keshawn Abston and Yalen Reed each added 14 points as Lebanon improved to 2-5 overall. LHS led 21-13 in the first quarter and 41-30 at intermission.
