CLARKSVILLE -- After almost letting one slip through their fingers in the fourth quarter, Lebanon's Devilettes dominated in overtime for a 59-48 victory Friday at Kenwood in the Region 5AAA quarterfinals.

The win sets up a Monday night showdown at Beech vs. District 9AAA top seed and cross county rival Mt. Juliet with a berth in the TSSAA Sectionals on the line.

Lebanon (16-13) watched a 12 point second half lead dissolve as Kenwood (13-11) came roaring back -- out scoring the Devilettes 18-10 in the fourth period.

LHS could have put the game away in the late stages of regulation, but missed five of eight free throws including its last four attempts. Three times Lebanon had a chance to win the game in the final 30 seconds but couldn’t covert -- sending the contest into overtime at 48-all.

The Devilettes blanked Kenwood 11-0 in the extra period, knocking down seven of nine from the charity stripe.

Abby Wright led Lebanon with 18 points and Kelsey Yarbrough added 14 points and 10 rebounds. Madison Sloan also finished with 14 while Julia Fox had 10.
