BULLETIN -- Friendship Christian quarterback A.J. Long has verbally committed to Syracuse University. Long helped lead the Commanders to a Class 2A state championship in 2012 -- his first season at FCS after moving in from Pennsylvania. Long completed 112-of-184 passes (60 percent) for 2,272 yards as Friendship Christian went 13-1. He threw for 39 touchdowns with just one interception. Long also ran for 674 yards on 126 attempts (5.3 yards per rush) and scored 12 touchdowns. Long was named All-State by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association and was voted Co-Offensive MVP of Region 4A. |
