Wilson Living Today
Wednesday, March 16, 2011

If news stand sales are any indication, the 3rd annual Wilson Living Bridal Issue is a big hit! We want to humbly say THANK YOU to our wonderful readers for the support. Now it’s time to move on to what’s coming up in the county we love.

When we spring forward that usually means two things. 1. Losing an hour of sleep is worth it if it means longer, sun-shinier days.  And 2. The end of the school year is drawing near.

Whether your child will be starting pre-school or headed to high school, Wilson County offers up some of the best schools. One of those schools is Cedars Preparatory Academy in Lebanon. You can get a firsthand look at the CedarsPrep campus during their open house on March 27 from 2-4 p.m. In the meantime, the school’s owner and veteran educator, Mary Beard, welcomes parents to tour the facility during business hours. For more information visit www.thecedarsprep.com.

Looking for the hottest styles for prom? Friendship Christian School is bringing the runway “your way” on Monday, March 28 when they host a prom and banquet fashion show. Tickets are on sale now for $5.

Proceeds will help pay for Friendship Christian’s 2011 Junior/Senior Banquet. Lebanon’s go to spot for prom attire, The White Room, is supplying the fashion for the show. It’s sure to be a night of fun.

Wilson Living will be giving away tickets to the show very soon on our facebook page. If you’re not a fan, you can’t win. Fan Wilson Living today!

Wilson Living is especially proud to brag on one of our own. Wilson Living Sales Rep Kim Holbrook and her husband Greg are hosting a spaghetti dinner that will help them build a trade school and housing on property they have purchased in Africa.

Miracle Power is a program Greg founded to help aid pastors, orphans and widows in Africa. The dinner will be held on Saturday, April 16 at the Coles Ferry Elementary School Gym from 4-7 p.m. Dinner tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and children. ALL proceeds will go to Miracle Power.

Donations for silent auction items are still being accepted. If you’d like to donate to this cause email Kim at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
