WOW! We just finished counting and it looks like more than 6,000 shoppers came out to visit the 3rd Annual Wilson Living MagazineHoliday Expo! This was a fabulous event and we plan to make it better every year. We had some exciting additions to this year’s expo and they were a HUGE success.
The 1st ever Pre-Opening Gala brought out more than 900 shoppers to beat the crowds on Friday and Saturday, sample delicious food provided by Publix and The Bull and Whistle. We’d like to thank all of you for making the gala a success. We’d also like to inform you that the Gala is here to stay! We can’t wait to do it again next year.
We also made special arrangements with Santa Claus to have breakfast with some very lucky little boys and girls. This was another “home run” addition to the expo. Money raised from the breakfast will benefit the Airborne Travel Volleyball Team in Wilson County. These young ladies worked hard for the money that will benefit their (hopefully winning) season. The whole team arrived at 6:30 a.m. to begin preparations for the gourmet breakfast. We were very impressed with the team and their parents for giving 100 percent. Congrats to the team, and please keep us updated on how the season goes!Wilson Living would like to recognize “Swag Bag” sponsors: Nave Dental Studio, The Crystal Couture and Farm Bureau Insurance graciously sponsored these reusable shopping bags. Inside the bags shoppers found valuable gift certificates for everything from dental services to a free appetizer from Demos’. If you were one of the lucky shoppers who snagged one, make sure you use those special offers.
We’d also like to thank our event sponsors because we couldn’t have done it without them: University Medical Center, The Wilson Post, 98 WSIX, The Mill at Lebanon, Party Providers, Wilson Bank and Trust, 98.9 WANT-FM, Printastik and Trees of the Hall by Cumberland University.
We do have some exciting news for next year. We have more than 30 vendors who will be returning to the 2012 expo! If you missed it this year, make your reservation now. If you’d like to see photos from this year’s expo visit www.wilsonlivingmagazine.com or our facebook fan page.
Until next time, eat lots of turkey! And keep reading!
