A young man was stabbed several times Wednesday night outside the Jimmy Floyd Family Life Center and his injuries warranted aid by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
According to police, Joseph Jutras, 18, was leaving the Floyd Center just after 8 p.m. when a gold Jeep Grand Cherokee pulled up beside him.
Two individuals in the car confronted Jutras and a short argument followed. Lebanon Police Department Capt. Terry Bowman said an unidentified white male got out of the car and stabbed the victim several times in the body before getting back in the car and leaving the scene.
Police responded to the call from dispatch and found Jutras seriously wounded and unable to tell what had happened.
At least two witnesses were able to tell officers the details, which according to police, started the day earlier between the victim and the suspect in an earlier argument.
“Apparently, it was a continuation of the day before,” Bowman said. “We have a good idea of who the assailants are.”
However, there were no arrests as of deadline Thursday. Bowman said the case was still being investigated.
