Trailing Hendersonville 21-20 at intermission, LHS rode a 13-0 run in the thrid quarter to take a 33-24 advantage into the final period.
Hendersonville clawed back and tied the contest at 39-all with 1:51 to play on a deep 3-pointer by Taylor Wright.
Lebanon's Abby Wright emerged from a mad scramble under the bucket for a lay-up with :46 seconds left and a 41-39 Devilette lead. Lebanon put the game away by hitting 4-of-6 free throws over the final 25 seconds.
Julia Fox had 11 for Lebanon while Joslyn Jarrett and Wright each had 11 for HHS. LHS finished 10-of-15 from the free throw line.
MJ 53, Portland 22 --MT. JULIET -- Top-seeded Mt. Juliet improved to 20-8 following Thursday night's 53-22 victory over Portland in the first round of the District 9AAA basketballtournament.
Ronjanae DeGray had 21 points and Sally McCabe 18 for the Lady Bears, who advance to Saturday's 4 p.m. semifinal game vs. host Station Camp.
FCS 61, Trousdale County 30 --HARTSVILLE -- Friendship Christian placed three players in double figures and cruised to a 61-30 win over host Trousdale County in Thursday's District 8A basketball tournament. Now 17-7 overall, the Lady Commanders will take on Gordonsville (19-9) Monday at 7:30 p.m. for the tournament title.
Deja Jones led FCS with 18 points, Kristian Watkins added 15 and Kaitlyn Teeter chipped in with 12 points.
Station Camp 71, Wilson Central 57 --GLADEVILLE -- No. 5-seeded Station Camp ousted Wilson Central 71-57 in the opening round of the District 9AAA basketball tournament Thursday night. With the loss, the Lady Wildcats end the season 12-13 overall while Station Camp moves on to Saturday's semifinals with a mark of 20-9.
Autumn Hopkins led WCHS with 18 points and Kendall Spray had 12.
Gordonsville 65, Watertown 40 --HARTSVILLE -- Watertown's Tigerettes slipped to 14-16 on the season and into the consolation game of the District 8A tournament following Thursday's 65-40 loss to Gordonsville. Watertown will match up with host Trousdale County Monday at 6 p.m.
Alicia Jennings had 21 points to lead Watertown while Kristin Vantrease added seven.
