Tuesday night softball results

Megan Brown paced Lebanon at the plate, going 3-for-4 with singles in the third, fifth and sixth innings, driving in a run and scoring twice.

The Lady Devils increased their lead with runs in the sixth as Hannah Simmons rapped an RBI triple. Brown then singled, plating Simmons.

Lebanon (13-9 / 4-1 in 9AAA) returns to action Thursday with a 5 p.m. game at Mt. Juliet High.

Beech 7, Wilson Central 3SHACKLE ISLAND -- Beech sandwiched single runs in the first and third innings around a three-run third in Tuesday night's 7-3 win over Wilson Central.

Wilson Central (15-12 / 2-2 in 9AAA) closed the gap with single runs in the fourth and fifth, only to see the Lady Bucs push across two more score in the botto of the fifth.

Hannah Bodenhorn (8-7) started and took the loss for the Lady Wildcats, scattering eight hits.

Central was led offensively by Morgan Powell and Rachel Tichenor, each with two hits. Allie Bennett, Lauren Stavinoga, Brittany Wiseman each had hits while freshman Katie Eakes sluffed her first home run of the season.
