Lebanon 68, Hendersonville 45
LEBANON -- Maybe the color pink agrees with the Blue and White.

Wearing pink-hued uniforms to celebrate the fight against cancer, Lebanon shot a red-hot 61 percent from beyond the arc and rolled to a 68-45 victory over Hendersonville Tuesday at Campbell Brandon Gymnasium.

Coach Jim McDowell's squad finished the game 13-of-21 on 3-pointers. Senior guard DaShawn McMurry led the way with a 5-of-8 performance from downtown. He finished with a game-high 24 points.

KK Garnett and KeShawn Abston added 11 points each as both players drilled two 3-pointers each, including a 40-foot bomb at the first half buzzer by Abston.

The Blue Devils improved to 4-2 on the season and 1-0 in District 9-AAA headed into Friday's game at Wilson Central High.

Wilson Central 48, Beech 44
SHACKLE ISLAND -- Wilson Central improved to 3-1 on the season with a 48-44 win Tuesday night at Beech in the District 9-AAA opener for both teams.

Jacob Williams knocked four four 3-pointers and finished with 21 points. Ben Palmer added 18 from inside the paint.

The Wildcats will host Lebanon Friday, Dec. 13 in a District 9-AAA contest.

Gallatin 49, Mt. Juliet 46 (OT)
GALLATIN -- Davonte Williams drilled a 3-pointer from the head of the key in the final seconds of overtime to lift Gallatin to a 49-46 victory over Mt. Juliet Tuesday night.

The squads finished regulation tied at 43-all.

Reagan Johnson had 15 points to lead Mt. Juliet while Nolan Chowbay had nine. James Womack and John Mark Bell each had seven points.

Mt. Juliet, 4-4 overall and 0-1 in District 9-AAA, is scheduled to host Portland Friday, Dec. 13.

MJ Christian 74, Zion Christian 69
MT. JULIET -- Zack Jones poured in 29 points to lead Mt. Juliet Christian to a 74-69 win over visiting Zion Christian Academy Tuesday night.

Now 7-4 on the season, the Saints got 13 points from Newman Ward and 13 from Justus Willis.

MJCA will be back in action Thursday, Dec. 12 as they play the second game of a doubleheader at Trousdale County High School. Girls action will tip at 6 p.m.

Watertown 62, Red Boiling Springs 44
WATERTOWN -- The Purple Tigers opened up District 8-A play Tuesday night with a 62-44 home win over Red Boiling Springs.

Watertown ninth grader Seth Price led all scorers with 21 points, including a 7-of-8 performance at the line and a pair of 3-pointers.

Ty Jobe recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds while Dyland Speck stepped out for three 3-pointers and finished with 15.

Coach Matt Bradshaw's squad improved to 4-4 on the season and will be on the road to Gallatin Friday to take on Merrol Hyde.

Trousdale Co. 59, Friendship 33
HARTSVILLE -- Christian Lauderdale had a game-high 28 points to lead Trousdale County to a 59-33 victory over Friendship Christian School Tuesday.

FCS, now 0-5 on the season, was led by seven points from Adam Neal while Tyler Anderson added six.

The Commanders are idle until a Friday, Dec. 20 home game with Trousdale County.
