WCHS 7, Portland 6 --GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central improved to 18-12 overall and 4-2 in District 9AAA after holding off Porltand 7-6 Tuesday.

Allie Bennett scored from third on the front end of a double steal in the bottom of the six for what would prove to be the winning run as the Lady Panthers climbed within one with two runs in the top of the seventh.

Morgan Powell (7-4) got the win with Morgan Powell striking out a batter in the seventh to earn a save.

Lebanon 11, HHS 0 --LEBANON -- The Lady Devils scored four runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back in Tuesday's 11-0 home win over Disrict 9AAA rival Hendersonville High.

A two-run homer by Katlin Eakes highlighted the first inning as Lebanon improved to 18-11 overall and 6-1 in District 9AAA going into Thursday afternoon's game at Wilson Central. Sara Aubuchon drilled a three-run HR in the fourth inning.

Bethany Anderson threw a five-inning two-hitter for Lebanon, striking out nine with just one walk.

Eakes finished the game 3-for-3 with five RBI and Aubuchon wound up 3-for-3 with four RBI. Megan Brown was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
