HERMITAGE — Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, September 19, at The Grace Place, 4316 Central Pike, Hermitage, for Mrs. Dixon, 98, of Hermitage. The daughter of the late Doc and Dora Jenkins Wolfe, Mrs. Dixon died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009.

Mrs. Dixon was a member of The Grace Place and was the widow of the late Oplis S. Dixon.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Bond Memorial Chapel and one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church. Services will be conducted by Rev. Tim Sharpe officiating. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include: grandchildren Donnie (Shirley) Bagwell of Stark, FL; Faye (Bob) Hill of Ohio; Cathy Dixon of Nashville; Pam Dixon, Ricky Dixon, Patti (Andy) Whittaker and Ben (Stacey) Dixon, Jr. — all of Mt. Juliet. Also surviving: daughter-in-law Margaret Dixon of Mt. Juliet; great-grandchildren Shane (Michel) Johnson of Dallas, TX; Byron Bagwell of Stark, FL; Jason (Michelle) Johnson of Gainesville, FL; Logan Dixon, Brady Dixon, Annette Whittaker, Presley Newberry and Phoenix Dixon — all of Mt. Juliet; great-great grandchildren Callan and Michael Johnson of Gainesville, FL. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by children Dorothy (Don) Bagwell and Ben D. Dixon, Sr.; granddaughter Vicki Miller; great-grandson Christopher Denney; siblings Armor and Mack Wolfe, Vona, Hazel, Bonnie, Opal and Unie.

Active pallbearers: Buster Wolfe, Clifton Ricketts, Joe Morgan, Randy Morgan, Jason Locke and Reed Overstreet. Honorary: best friends Wayne and Charlene Johnson and Billy Bob and Martha Hughey and the Senior Adult Class at The Grace Place.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to The Grace Place Building Fund, 4316 Central Pike, Hermitage, 37076.        Arrangements by Bond Memorial Chapel.
