MT. JULIET -- Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, at Bond Memorial Chapel of for Mrs. Anderson, 84, of Mt. Juliet. Born near Ripley, MS on October 4, 1926 to the late Ira and Elora Labearre Mitchell, she died Saturday, February 6, 2010.

A retired educator, she taught some 36 years mainly in the Wilson County School System at Mt. Juliet, West and Southside Schools. She served on the PTO in Mt. Juliet and Lebanon, the Wilson County Magistrate for one term and the Codes Committee for the City of Mt. Juliet. Mrs. Anderson was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet were she served as a VBS teacher, Sunday School teacher and in various other callings over the years.

Services will be conducted by Rev. Terry Carver and Chaplain Paul Gunn. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include: her husband of 65 years Corbett William Anderson; children Lawrence (Linda) Anderson, Randy (Kim) Anderson and Regina (Danny) Baker; siblings William Ira Mitchell and Valca Cook. Also surviving are grandchildren: Brook (Aaron) Leasure, Chris (Natalie) Anderson, Rachel (Cortez) Mack, Beth (Clay) Hullett and Michaela Anderson; six great-grandchildren and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews in the Mt. Juliet and Ripley, MS area.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brother James Mitchell and sister Lynette Johnson.  Active pallbearers: Dan Mitchell, Cortez Mack, Clay Hullett, Chris Anderson, Darrell Crawford, Duane Garrett and Wayne Garrett. Honorary: Don Lyda, Maxine Bell and members of the Wilson County Retired Teachers Association.  Arrangements by Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet.
