Lebanon (14-7 overall / 5-3) saw Alex Britt finish with 15 kills and 14 digs. Bri Clemmons had six kills and five digs while Tatum Thompson had 22 assists and seven digs. Megan Brown contributed 13 digs.


The Lady Devils are scheduled to host District 9-AAA rival Mt. Juliet High Monday, Sept. 23 in a 6 p.m. varsity match.

PORTLAND -- Finishing with a flourish, District 9-AAA leader Mt. Juliet knocked off defending district champion Portland 3-2 Thursday night. Game scores: 22-25, 29-27, 25-18, 19-25 and 15-3.


Now 12-5 overall and a perfect 9-0 in the district, the Lady Bears got 20 kills from returning all-stater Ryann Amity. Halle Raines finished with42 assists, Morgan Phillips had 16 digs, Allyson Huffman had 16 digs and eight service aces while Shelby Woodard had 11 blocks.


Coach Jennifer Wilson's team will play Friday and Saturday in the Brentwood Invitational, hosted at A-Game Sports.


RBS 3, Watertown 1
WATERTOWN -- Visiting Red Boiling Springs came away with a 3-2 victory over Watertown High Thursday in District 8-A volleyball action. Game scores: 25-16, 21-25, 25-10 and 25-15.


The Tigerettes were led by 12 kills, 11 blocks and five aces from Paige Mock. Mary Holden added eight kills and nine digs while Katie Dalton had four aces, four kills and two digs.


MJ Christian 3, Lighthouse Christian 0
Mt. Juliet Christian Academy improved to 7-8 overall following Thursday's 3-0 victory over Lighthouse Christian. Game scores: 25-14, 25-10 and 25-16.


Lauren Wankel led the Lady Saints with 11 kills, Caroline Scott had seven aces and Meredith Orr finished with 15 assists.


MJCA returns to the court Monday, Sept. 23 as they play at Hendersonville Christian.
