GORDONSVILLE -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home for Mr. Maynard, 49, of the Lancaster Community in Smith County.
A 24-year employee of the Dana Corporation, he passed away March 2, 2009, following a battle with cancer. A 1978 graduate of Gordonsville High School, he was a deacon of The Macedonia The Baptist Church of Christ in Club Springs.
The Maynard family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
Services will be conducted by Brother Junior Hibdon and Brother Garry McBride. Interment at Gordonsville Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife of 27 years Sandra Glover Maynard of Lancaster and daughters Amanda (Tanner) Freese of Hermitage and Courtney Maynard of Lancaster; mother Marie Maynard and her husband Howard Maynard of Lancaster.
Also surviving are sisters Brenda Sharp of Crossville; Cathy (Jimmy) Holmes of Baxter; Debbie Lamping of Brentwood; Vicky (William) James of Lebanon; Vinnie (Flynn) Neal of Lebanon; Mother and father-in-law Bobby and Louise Glover of Gordonsville; brothers-in-law Gary (Laurie) Glover of Gordonsville and Gregg (Lori) Glover of Buffalo Valley.
Mr. Maynard is preceded in death by his father, the late Wirt Lee Maynard and brother, Terry Maynard (1965).
Memorials may be made to the Gordonsville High School Girls Softball Team or to The Macedonia The Baptist Church.
