LEBANON — Funeral services were held Monday, January 4 at the Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mr. Evert, 81, of Lebanon. Known as “Corky” to his family and friends, the U.S. Navy veteran died Jan. 1, 2010.
A member of the Hickory Ridge Church of Christ, he was employed by Atlantic Envelope. Services were conducted by Brother Ron Hackney. Entombment was in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Faye Evert; children: Derek (Shirley) Evert, Pamela (Gordon) Wooden, Timothy (Cathy) Evert, David (Melody) Evert, William Kenneth (Marjorie) Evert and James (Cindy) Evert. Also surviving brother George (Edie) Evert; grandchildren Colin Evert, Scott Mitchell, Brian Mitchell, Craig Mitchell, Tansy Hadley, Robert Curtis Wooden, Maggie Pingatore, Rachel Evert, Paul Evert, Jill Evert, Kelsey Evert, Bridget Evert, Chad Evert, Cody Evert and Annie Evert; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Derek Evert, Timothy Evert, David Evert, William Evert, James Evert, and Gordon Wooden. Honorary: grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents Edward and Anna Fischer Evert, siblings Edward, Alois, Ernest, and Eugene Evert and grandson Matthew Evert.
