And we want to send out a special shout out to all the participants who attended this past Saturday’s first annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Wilson County 5k Walk/Fun-Run. Walker and runners enjoyed beautiful weather for the inaugural event. Several teams from around the county were on hand and walked for a cure that raised over $13,000.00 for the CF Foundation. The event was such a success that plans are already in the works for next year’s walk! Of course, Wilson Living Magazine had a team on hand and we were overjoyed when our team members, Jacob Andrews and Noah Baker, placed 2nd and 3rd in the walk/fun run. As for the older members of our team…well, lets just say for some of us it wasn’t about winning …just finishing. But it was certainly a great day enjoyed by all!
