The holiday season is just around the corner, and we are about to enjoy what is, at least to me, the most wonderful time of the year. This year, however, it is going to be a little bit different because of one factor: inflation.

November is National Family Caregivers Month, and there is no better time to recognize the many people in our community who are caring for loved ones with life-altering diseases, such as cancer, dementia or Parkinson’s disease.

I saw the headlights coming and the other driver saw mine. We were headed in opposite directions, toward each other, with who knows what worries on our minds. There was just something that made mine feel a little lighter when those lights paused, the intent clear:
