Bill Ozier of the Nashville Steam Preservation Society will be speaking at an informational meeting on Monday, April 15, at 6 p.m. in the Wilson County Commission Chambers located at 228 E. Main St. in Lebanon.
Anyone who is interested in tourism or trains is invited to attend.
The NSPS hopes to have the restoration of Engine 576 completed within a few years and then it will pull excursion trains from downtown Nashville to Watertown with stops throughout Wilson County. The turntable is in Watertown awaiting installation.
Ozier practiced labor law with Bass, Berry & Sims for most of his career. He assists with work sessions for Engine 576 as well as presentations on the project’s behalf.
