Education with the food University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension agent Leslyne Watkins places a booklet in each of the food boxes last Friday at the Market Street Community Center. Watkins, who works in nutrition education, said the booklet “Guide to Food Pantries”, tells recipients how to keep food safe and what is nutritionally best for them. Friday marked the third food giveaway the Wilson County Civic League has done since partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank in December. Those interested in receiving goods can check the WCCL Facebook page for dates and times of the next giveaway. DALLUS WHITFIELD
