Classes resumed at Wilson Central High School on Monday after a bomb threat temporarily halted the school day.

Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Scott Moore said school personnel receive a call around 9 a.m. saying a possible bomb was in the school. He said the Sheriffs Department received a similar call about two minutes later with similar information that prompted a response.

Students were chaperoned from the school to the indoor athletics training facility on campus as crews from Wilson County Sheriffs Office, Lebanon Police Department and Hendersonville Police Department searched the school with K-9 explosive dogs.

The search did not yield any findings related to explosives.

Classes resumed around noon. Dozens of parents opted to remove their children from the school following the incident.
