Juliet native -Mt. Juliet native Travis Humes has been hired as the new baseball coach at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy.Humes, 33, recently resigned as the head coach at Davidson Academy.He's a 2006 graduate of Mt. Juliet High where he played under Mark Purvis and eventually coached under both Purvis and Jim Carter.Humes played baseball at Lambuth College and in 2014 was hired as the head baseball coach at Trousdale County High.Humes takes over for former MJCA coach Mike Kittrell, who was named head softball coach of the Lady Saints earlier this month.
