Lady ‘Cats play at No. 1 LHS Monday –
GLADEVILLE — Points were hard to come by in Sunday’s District 9AAA “play-in” game as No. 8 seed Wilson Central topped No. 9 Mt. Juliet 35-26.
With the win, the Lady Wildcats moved to 3-17 on the season and will move on to the district quarterfinals 6 p.m. Monday at No. 1-seeded Lebanon.
Mt. Juliet bowed out of the TSSAA postseason with a record of 1-21.
The Lady Bears led 8-5 after one quarter, but Wilson Central pulled ahead 12-11 at the halftime break, then took control with a 12-5 third period run.
Sydney Dalton had 15 points to lead the Lady Wildcats while Campbell Strange added ll.
WCHS finished just 8-of-24 at the free throw line (33 percent).
Mt. Juliet was led by Kaitlyn Bertram with 15 points.
MONDAY’S TICKETS: are $7 each and will be good for both games at Campbell Brandon Gymnasium. The 4-seed Lebanon boys take on No. 5 seed Wilson Central at 7:15 p.m.
