Lebanon takes on Wilson Central --

GLADEVILLE -- Regular season District 9-AAA champion Wilson Central will host Lebanon Wednesday at 6 p.m. for the district tournament championship.

Both teams will advance to the Region 5-AAA tournament next week with tonight's tournament champ earning the host role.

Lebanon reached tonight's championship game with a stirring 3-1 victory over Mt. Juliet in Monday's "loser-out" semifinal match.

The Lady Bears won the opening game 25-15, then dropped a marathon 33-31 game to Lebanon -- who won the final two games handily 25-11 and 25-17.

"What we lack in height, we make up for in heart," said LHS coach Adrienne Dotson. "I think that showed tonight. Mt. Juliet is a great team and for our girls to stay calm and focused -- I'm very proud."

Avery Harris led the LHS attack with 17 kills and two blocks. Olivia Carver finished with 11 kills and 25 digs while Addie Grace Porter had 44 digs, four kills, two aces and three assists. Kendall Arnold carded 38 assists, 11 digs, eight kills, a block and two aces.

Wilson Central 3, Smyrna 0 -- 

GLADEVILLE -- Regular season champion Wilson Central reached Wednesday's District 9-AAA tournament finals with a 3-0 victory over Smyrna Monday evening. Scores: 25-9, 25-16 and 25-19.

Sydney Dalton led the forward wall with nine kills, four digs and two aces while Nicole Brill added seven kills, nine digs and a pair of aces.

Taryn Wilson had 14 digs and four aces and regular season Most Valuable Player Emilee McDonald had four assists, six digs and five kills.
