FCS bowler VanHooser

Friendship Christian's Olivia VanHooser bowled a 522 series in Thursday's 19-8 victory over Lebanon at Pro Bowl West.

LEBANON -- Competing against each other for the first time since at least 2012, the bowling teams from Friendship Christian School and Lebanon High squared off Thursday at Pro Bowl West.

FCS swept both matches handily, 19-8 in the girls and 23-4 in the boys.

Ninth grader Olivia Rush paced the Lady Commanders with a 523 series (181, 158 & 184) while Olivia VanHooser added a a 522 series (149, 212 & 161).

Other high games included: Landry West (151) and Presley Martin (130).

Lebanon was led by Alyssa Weiser's series of 572 (191, 189 & 192). High games: Emma Allison (154 & 169), Kaitlyn Rodgers (155), Kayla Hamlet (149) and Hannah Escue (144).

Friendship finished with a pinfall of 2,552 -- 80 pins better than Lebanon's total of 2,472.

On the boys side, the Commanders finished with 3,724 pins compared to 3,289 for LHS -- a difference of 435.

Senior Cole Cottrell rolled a 697 series to lead FCS (194, 224 & 279). Cottrell, who bowled a 300 game earlier in the week, threw 9 consecutive strikes in his third game.

Evan Gordon added a 640 (177, 238 & 225) while John Brooks came in at 638 (255, 235 & 148).

Other high games included: Evan Gordon (238 & 225), Cullen Graves (227) and Cole Denney (213).

Lebanon's Caleb Gregory finished with a 633 series (212, 203 & 218) while Jackson McRae had a 624 series (211, 227 & 186).

High scores: Ryan Norvil (236) and Joshua Cantrell (212).

The Lebanon teams open District 12 tournament competition Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Friendship Christian is scheduled to bowl against Donelson Christian Academy Monday, Nov. 23.
