DII-A region tournament opener –

Barring schedule changes due to inclement weather, Friendship Christian is scheduled to play at Christ Presbyterian Academy 6 pm Saturday, Feb. 20 in the quarterfinals of the Division II-A Middle Region quarterfinals.

The “loser-out” contest against CPA came about after the Commanders dropped a 49-39 loss to Davidson Academy in the District 4 consolation game Saturday, Feb. 13.

The low scoring affair found Davidson Academy taking a 7-6 lead after one quarter, then and 18-12 advantage at intermission.

The Bears salted away the win with 14-7 third quarter run that pushed the score to 32-19.

Cole Kring led the Commanders with 9 points while Max Duckwiler, Hayden Potts and Casey Jones had 8 apiece.

Drew Jimenez paced Davidson Academy with 16.

FCS enters Saturday’s contest 12-12 on the season and 8-8 in Division II-A.

Christ Presbyterian (22-3) won the Division II-A District 3 title with a 96-67 win over The Webb School Saturday, Feb. 13.

DONELSON — The Commanders fell to the District 4 consolation game following a Friday, Feb. 12 loss to Donelson Christian Academy 64-47 in the district semifinals.

Dillon Turner drilled a pair of 3 -pointers to pace Friendship Christian School with 18 points. Max Duckwiler and Cole Kring finished with six points each while Hayden Potts and Casey Jones had five points apiece.

Ben Singer led the Wildcats with 20 points.
