Coach Woody Hunt will offer an advanced fundamental camp June 24-27 at Lebanon’s Cumberland University

Cumberland baseball camp — Cumberland University’s Hall of Fame baseball coach Woody Hunt will offer an “advanced fundamental camp” for boys between the ages of 14-18 Monday, June 24 through Thursday, June 27.

Camp sessions will run every day between the hours of 9 a.m. to 12 Noon. Cost is $100 per camper and a t-shirt is provided.

This camp is recommended for high school players who are looking to continue their careers at the college level.

A high level of focus and attention to detail are required from attendees as baseball concepts and drill work become much more concentrated.

Instructors will address the mental and physical aspects of the game and what it takes to become a well-rounded college baseball player.

Cumberland’s Ernest L. Stockton Field and the Benton Jennings Hitting Facility will be used.

Campers should bring a water bottle. Cold water will be provided, but not cups. To register or for info, please visit cumberlandbaseballcamps.com.

Cumberland University softball coach Heather Stanfill offers an “all-skills camp” Monday through Wednesday, July 15, 16 and 17.

CU girls basketball — Cumberland University women’s basketball coach Scott Blum will offer a two-day shooting camp for girls ages 6 through 13 Monday and Tuesday, July 1 and 2 at the Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena.

Cost is $50 per camper. Camp sessions will be held between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 Noon.

The camp focus will be on basic shooting form to include lay-up, jump shot, free throw and 3-point technique.

All campers will receive a Cumberland basketball camp t-shirt. Be ready to learn and improve your skill and knowledge of the game and have fun.

Camp sessions will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include lunch. Cost is $150 per camper.

Sessions are designed to strengthen fundamental skills such as passing, ball handling and shooting. They will also provide opportunities for campers to put their skills into practice through playing games. Contact Coach Lewis at jlewis@cumberlanbd.edu for more information,

CU softball — Girls ages 5 through 12 are invited to Cumberland University softball coach Heather Stanfill‘s “all-skills camp” Monday through Wednesday, July 15, 16 and 17.

Sessions will be held between the hours of 9 a.m. – 12 Noon at the Billy Dee Ross Stadium on the Cumberland campus at a cost of $75 per camper.

Campers must pre-register two weeks before camp starts for a t-shirt. Campers who register late will not receive a shirt.

ALL campers should bring a water bottle for camp. Cold water is provided, but cups are not. For information, contact Coach Stanfill at hstanfill@cumberland.edu.
