Wilson Central 3, Green Hill 2

GLADEVILLE – Down 2-1, Wilson Central rallied to win the fourth set 25-12 and claimed the fifth set 15-8 to score a 3-2 victory over visiting Green Hill High Tuesday.

Game scores: 24-26, 25-21, 22-25, 25-12 and 15-8.

Ella McIsaac led Wilson Central with 12 kills while Taryn Wilson served 3 aces, with 20 digs and 2 assists.

Natalee McDonald served 4 aces and added 4 kills to go with 18 assists and Jaeliyah Morton recorded 7 kills and 4 solo blocks. Abby Jones dished out 19 assists with 1 ace.

Wilson Central will travel to Lebanon Thursday for a match versus the Lady Devils.

Green Hill is scheduled to entertain Stewarts Creek High Thursday, Aug. 19 at 6:30 p.m.

Cookeville 3, Lebanon 0

COOKEVILLE – Lebanon’s volleyball team dropped to 3-2 on the season following a 3-0 loss Tuesday at new District 7-AAA opponent Cookeville High.

Game scores: 20-25, 19-25, and 13-25.

Ava Knight paced the Lady Devils with 5 kills, 1 block and 2 aces. Maya Gipson dished out 16 assists, 7 digs, an ace and 4 kills.

Britony Gill scored 13 digs and one service ace and 13 while Haley Mitchell finished with 2 aces, 7 kills and 7 digs.

LHS plays at home Thurs., Aug. 19 against Wilson Central High School.

Watertown 3, Trousdale County 0

Watertown opened the 2021 season with a rousing 3-0 home win over Trousdale County High Tuesday, Aug. 17. Game scores: 25-17, 25-11 and 25-9.

Morgan Brown led WHS with 7 kills while Gala Holbrooks added 6 kills and Alie Tunks served four aces.

The Lady Tigers play at home Thursday, Aug. 19 versus Westmoreland.

Friendship Christian 3, Ezell-Harding 0

LEBANON – Friendship Christian moved to 1-1 on the 2021 season with a 3-0 win over Ezell-Harding Tuesday, Aug. 17 at the Bay Family Sportsplex. Game scores: 25-10, 25-16 and 25-19.

Ava Grace Kennedy led the Lady Commanders with 9 kills, 10 digs and an ace while Kennedy Scharfman served 5 aces, with 4 kills and 2 digs.

Resie Huckaby served 4 aces with a a kill, while dishing out 21 assists, 8 digs and 3 blocks.

Kyla Scharfman had 11 digs; Sloan Stewart served 2 aces, with 2 kills and 2 digs.

Friendship Christian returns to the court Thursday, Aug. 19 at Donelson Christian Academy.

DCA 3, MJ Christian 0

DONELSON – Mt. Juliet Christian Academy dropped a 3-0 decision at Donelson Christian Tuesday by scores of 18-25, 12-25 and 22-25.

Davey Slaughter recorded a double-double for the Lady Saints with 12 kills and 18 digs. Ellie Gee passed out 21 assists while Keely Sellars had 14 digs.

MJCA is scheduled to entertain Ezell-Harding Thursday, Aug. 19 in a 5:30 p.m. match – the first home date for the program since the 2019 season.
